HOW CAN COACHING HELP WITH TINNITUS?
I started with Tinnitus in my 30's so I have a full understanding of the impact it can have on one's life and how it can cause stress, frustration and tiredness among many other side effects.
Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for Tinnitus, but we can, with coaching, find ways to help manage it.
So how can coaching help?
Sleep: Once you start with Tinnitus getting to sleep can become a struggle. How on earth do you sleep with that constant noise?! Using my 'Teaching Diploma in Meditation' as part of the coaching session, I will take you through a guided meditation and we will look at some meditation techniques you can use at home. At no extra cost, you will also be given a guided meditation MP3. With practice, meditation can beneficial tool to have. Not only at bedtime to help slow things down, but also to help manage stress which can exacerbate Tinnitus. I also offer meditation only sessions, for those who do not wish to take part in life coaching.
Balanced Life: What you realise as you go on, is the more you are aware of the tinnitus, the more you focus on it and the louder and more annoying it becomes. So it is important to try to keep calm and live a balanced life. This is again where coaching can help. Life coaching will look at all areas of your life and find potential causes of stress, as well as any life imbalances, and I will work with you to create a more even, balanced life.
Diet and Health: Following a healthy lifestyle can help manage Tinnitus. Exercise and cutting down on alcohol and caffeine are just some of the known stimulants which exacerbate Tinnitus. In our sessions, we will explore new diets and implementing exercise routines as part of your daily life.
Remember: Coaching will not cure tinnitus, but by working with a coach, it will help you manage it, so it becomes an everyday part of you. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions. Sessions can take place in person, online and via phone.
